Richard Hill is a Professor (Retired) of Michigan State University (MSU), Department of Zoology (now Integrative Biology) – https://integrativebiology.natsci.msu.edu/news/richard-hill-retires-after-45-years-at-msu/. He met Dr. Clement Mweya, founder of the Vector-Borne Diseases Modelling Network (VBDModNet – https://vbdmodelling.org) in 1998 while he was a visiting Professor at the University of Dar es salaam (UDSM), Tanzania; teaching mammalogy course to a BSc (General) class of 1997/2001. Clement has received countless support from Dick in his entire career development and currently as a founder of VBDModNet. Clement has also dedicated his PhD thesis to Dick, as a lasting memory for his continued support.
